Opening: Jacqui Blue
Born the southpaw/middleton in the 1st set of identical triplets born in Ann Arbor, Mi., Jacquelyn Dee Davis began singing in harmony with said triplet sisters at the ripe age of 3-years-old. Years later, she is known as a performance artist and recognized for her beautiful vocal talent, versatility, authenticity, and drama. Upon her arrival at Grand Valley State University in 2004, she starred in her first opera as Anna in GVSU Opera Theatre’s “Street Scene”, and later starred as Sarah in their production of “Ragtime”, as Marta in Actors Theatre's "Kiss of the Spiderwoman, and as Brenda in Grand Rapid’s Circle Theatre’s “Smokey Joe’s Café”.
Since arriving in Louisville she has appeared in stage productions as Sister Mathilde in UofL Opera Theatre's "Dialogues of the Carmelites", Bess/Serena in the joint Simmons College of Ky/UofL production of "Porgy & Bess: Concert Highlights", performed as featured jazz vocalist in a UofL jazz combo, and most recently starred as the title character in The Alley Theater's fall musical "The Mystery of Edwin Drood". Jacqui appeared with Actors Workshop Louisville's "Late Night Louisville", in the 2017 short film "Bagels" directed by Elias Feghaly, and was featured in local rap performance artist Jecorey "1200" Arthur's 2017 "Seance/Spirit" double album.
Jacqui performs alongside her sisters in their trio "The Triplets" whenever possible but is now embracing her musical identity as singer/songwriter and producer "Jacqui Blue". Following her holiday release of single "Yuletide Romance", Jacqui is highly anticipating the upcoming release of her first original album with producer and guitarist Isaac Poole. With such as a broad musical background, Jacqui's signature sound can only be described as using soaring vocals and thick complex harmonies combined with a mix of R&B, Pop, and Classic Rock to exciting versatile effect!
Featuring Nick Dittmeier and The Sawdusters
A four piece Americana band from Louisville, KY. They’ve released two EPs, “Extra Better” in 2013, and then “Light of Day” in 2014.Through relentless touring, they’ve become mainstays of the Midwest Americana scene. In September of 2015, they set ten highway-tested, fine-tuned songs loose in the confines of LA LA Land Studios. The result is “Midwest Heart/Southern Blues”. The new album is a gritty, upbeat collection of songs, full of characters who were developed while staring over the dash of a beat up Ford van cruising through towns in the South and Midwest, whose better days are behind them. The Sawdusters will be on the road in 2016 and beyond. For fans of The Band, Little Feat, and the Turnpike Troubadours.
