  • Rebecca Matheny is the Executive Director of the Louisville Downtown Partnership. A graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, she did Masters work in Urban and Environmental Policy at Tufts University in Medford, MA. After beginning her career in affordable housing, she switched her focus to Downtown Louisville in 2007 when she joined the staff of the Downtown Development Corporation. Her professional expertise is in intergovernmental relations, deregulation and policy development, project planning and implementation, as well as strategic and master planning. Under her leadership and in collaboration with a wide array of public and private partners, Downtown Louisville is currently experiencing a historic period of growth and vitality with $1.78 billion in investment taking place, all slated to be completed by the end of 2019. Rebecca is a strong advocate of the Louisville music and entertainment scene, consistently retaining local artists at all possible Downtown special events. Her steadfast commitment to Louisville’s top-notch performing arts venues is evident in the strategic priorities she has established while at the helm of LDP.
